Why? (for J-Wild)

Does anyone remember Jim Verraros, John Stevens, Kevin Covais, and Bucky Covington? There were all former American Idol top 12 contestants who lingered on the show a little too long. Better singers and performers were voted off before them, which was puzzling to viewers and even themselves. Sanjaya Malakar is that contestant this year. I can only hope that he’ll be voted off this coming week, but something tells me that he may be around longer than we’d all like (actually, he shouldn’t have even made the top 24 – Simon, Paula and Randy could have saved us from all of this from the get go.). What Sanjaya has going for him (I think) is his appeal to the tweens, who are most likely VERY faithful voters. Unfortunately, if past AI shows are any indication, he’ll be around much too long and someone we love will be voted off much too soon. Still, you gotta love AI. I’m rooting for Melinda and Blake.

In case anyone is in need of some cuteness, here you go. Isn't her hair getting long?

Yes as a matter of fact I do remember Bucky Covington. Lyric Street recording artist(home of Rascall Flatts),who currently has his debut single at #30 on the charts and with a steadily upward moving bullet. The same Bucky who has the #1 video on CMT Pure Country's 12 Pack countdown. And not to mention In CMT Pick or Flick head to head challenge he is the reigning champ having beat Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift the last 2 weeks.

If you don't like him fine. I respect your opinion. Not everyone gets Bucky. But he is in no way in that company. If you would like to watch his new video you can do so here:

Last weekend I attended the Grand Ole Opry debut of Bucky Covington. He will make a return appearance April 7th. If you are not a country fan, you may not realize the importance of this. This is all before he begins touring with Sawyer Brown, whose lead singer Mark Miller, is producing Bucky's debut self-titled CD out April 17th. To answer your question, yes I remember Bucky Covington..he is doing great!!

Thank DJ for giving me some perspective. We could just save all of us the trouble and have Melinda and Lakesha battle it out.

You can hear 4 clips on Bucky's myspace... www.myspace.com/buckycovington

Check out the vocals on A Different World and I'm Good especially. He has learned to control his voice and really sounds awesome singing these songs live as well :)
